- In his first interview post the release of Kalki 2898 AD, Nag Ashwin opens up about the success of his futuristic epic, and looks back at the appreciation and the criticism he received for the film. The director insists that the Kalki 2898 AD sequel needs a lot of prep, and he has already shot with the cast for 20 days. He promises a face-off between Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in Kalki 2, and lauds the contribution of Prabhas to the world of this blockbuster. Nag Ashwin believes that the interval block with Deepika Padukone is iconic and feels that SS Rajamouli should make Mahabharata for the spectacle soon. Nag also reasons why he didn’t cast a known face for Lord Krishna’s track and hints at the return of Vijay Deverakonda and Dulquer Salmaan in the sequel. Watch Video

Just saw Kalki yesterday. Gotta say, the Mahabharat flashback scenes were mindblowing. I liked them better than any previous Mahabharat scenes in TV or movies 🙏🏽🙌🏽

Nag Ashwin just brought Telugu cinema to next level. It’s still dream for lot of other directors, I love SSR but Nag Ashwin vision is beyond SSR too. Where SSR goes for simple straightforward story, Nag Ashwin did something no other director can even dream of.

Nag Ashwin's idea of Potraying Lord Krishna as a Silhoutte & Dark skinned is a eye opener to our society who are always in an obsession with white skinned & Krishna is fair in complexion. "Neeli Megha Shyama 🕉" itself says that Lord Krishna is dark skinned. Not just that,Lord Krishna preached the GOOD in Mahabharat & spread his Positive AURA wherever he goes. To spread GOOD, i dont think you definitely need to show Lord Krishna as a person with Face on screen. The idea of showing a Silhoutee & not showing face is just Outstanding. Really proud that a young director from our TFI had guts to potray Lord Krishna exactly how it has to be shown on screen to world. So happy to see our Telugu Industry to keep rising & spreading our real History through movies which is a global art form. Anxiously waiting for the 2nd part even though it takes time 😍
Kamal sir is encyclopedia of acting. Nagi said the truth. Prabhas is so humble and down-to-earth man. He is excited about acting with two biggest superstars of Indian Cinema in the same movie, Amitabh sir and Kamal sir. Definitely Prabhas learned so many things from these legends.
Kamal Hasan is a bonafide christian missionary and he has mentioned it himself. Doesn't look like he has it in his best interest to portray a hindu religious character genuinely.

Watched this great art on 29th june 2024 5:30 pm show with wife and kids (3.7 and 6.4) who thoroughly enjoyed the action blocks a lot and elders liked the connectivity of puranas to the futuristic world..
Words fall short to express the joy for having such a great quality of cinema to much better Hollywood standards .
Amitabh,Kamal,Prabhas and Deepika along with other actors have performed very well .
Kudos to the Genious Nag Ashwin and the to Production Team ..

Saw Kalki again today,but in 3D...n omg...it was atleast 20 times better experience in many of d scenes... everyone loves d climax scene of Prabhas as Karnah...but the second best scene of d film is of Deepika coming out of d tunnel when she decides to take d risk of burning in fire rather than being captured or killed by d complex army...omg...n d background score is peak level in that scene...I will write atleast 10 more lines here but juta reached home n saw dis interview of d best director of India after Rajamouli Sir ❤
